Autumn Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    6 c. cubed, unpeeled apples
    2 c. red seedless grapes
    1 c. diced celery
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine sugar and flour. Stir in water.
    Bring to a boil. Cook and stir until mixture thickens.
    Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Cool to room temperature.
    In a large bowl, combine apples, grapes, celery and walnuts. Add the dressing and toss.
