Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large bunch broccoli
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    2 c. water
    4 chicken bouillon cubes
    1 minced garlic clove
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. half and half
    1/4 c. dairy sour cream
    2 Tbsp. chopped chives
Preparation
    Cut flowerets from broccoli; peel the stems and dice.
    Combine broccoli flowerets, stems, onion, water, bouillon and garlic. Cover and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
    Cool slightly.
