Icebox Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 (10 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 c. pecans
    vanilla wafers
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg, pineapple and pecans; mix well.
    Layer vanilla wafers; spread 1/2 of mix over vanilla wafers. Add rest of mix.
    Top with vanilla wafers.
    Fix the day before serving.
    Top with whipped cream or topping.
