Ingredients

1 box white cake mix
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
2 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen coconut
1 (9 oz.) carton Cool Whip
Preparation

Prepare cake according to directions.
Cool and split layers. Combine sugar, sour cream and coconut.
Reserve 1 cup of sour cream mixture for frosting.
Spread remainder between layers of cake, split side up.
