Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. salad oil
    2 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    Beat egg.
    Add milk and melted shortening and mix well.
    Pour into self-rising flour and mix until just dampened.
    Drop by spoonfuls onto meat or chicken which is barely covered with liquid. Cover tightly and boil gently, 10 to 14 minutes.
