Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. diced carrots
    3/4 c. green peas
    3/4 c. chopped celery
    1 Tbsp. pimento
    3/4 c. shredded cabbage
    1/4 c. cold water
    1 c. boiling water
    2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. gelatin (soaked in the 1/2 c. cold water)
Preparation
    Mix in hot water the gelatin which has been soaked in the cold water. Add to the vegetables and congeal.
