Pineapple Cheese Pie - cooking recipe

1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 (9 oz.) can crushed pineapple, not drained
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. chopped pecans
one (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preparation

Blend sugar and cornstarch together.
Add to undrained crushed pineapple.
Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and clear. Cool and set aside.
Blend cream cheese, sugar and salt.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Blend in milk and vanilla.
Spread cooled pineapple into unbaked pie shell.
Pour cream cheese mixture on top.
Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then 325\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
