Mother'S Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    No. 2 can cherries
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Melt margarine in long glass casserole dish and add cherries. Mix remaining ingredients; pour over cherries.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 1 hour.
    Peach halves may be used instead of cherries and are good with nutmeg and cinnamon sprinkled on top.
    Crust rises to the top.
