Frank'S Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 c. diced celery
    okra
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 green pepper, chopped fine
    1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 1/4 tsp. paprika
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 bay leaf
    1 can stewed tomatoes plus as much water
    1 small can tomato paste
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. cooked shrimp, peeled
Preparation
    Cook in deep frypan (electric or regular).
    Add butter and melt.
    Add onions, celery, okra, garlic, green pepper and mushrooms.
    Saute until tender.
    Blend in flour and seasonings. Add tomatoes and tomato paste; cover and simmer for about 10 minutes over medium heat.
    Stir.
    Add shrimp.
    Serve over hot rice.
