Dirty Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. hot Owens sausage
1 lb. chicken livers, cooked and chopped
1 lb. chicken gizzards, cooked and chopped
2 c. broth from cooked livers and gizzards
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 bunch green onions, chopped
4 buttons garlic, chopped fine
2 c. uncooked instant rice
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Break up sausage with a fork and cook until brown in a large heavy pot.
Add chopped bell pepper, green onions and garlic. Saute until soft.
Stir in uncooked rice and salt.
Put in casserole dish and add broth.
Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 35 minutes, until liquid has been absorbed.
