No Cook Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. whole pickling spices
    1 Tbsp. alum
    medium size cucumbers (enough to fill 1/2 gal. jar)
    2 c. sugar (after opening)
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers and fill 1/2 gallon jar with whole cucumbers. Do not cut or slice.
    Add vinegar, salt, pickling spices and alum and finish filling jar with cold water.
    Seal jar.
    Let stand at least 2 months before opening.
