Congealed Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    medium size can crushed pineapple
    1 box lemon jello
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped apples
    1 c. pecans
    1 c. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Combine sugar and pineapple. Boil 3 minutes. Add lemon jello and set off eye of stove. Add cream cheese. Cool and add rest of ingredients. If you double this recipe, it will make a 9 x 13 pan; otherwise, 6 x 9 or 8 x 8.
