Yummy Brownies With Cream Cheese - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. nuts, chopped fine or ground
1/2 c. flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
3 beaten eggs (set aside)
1 c. sugar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
5 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
4 oz. sweet chocolate
Preparation

Melt the butter and chocolate together on low heat, making sure you stir it constantly. Set aside to cool for at least 10 minutes. Blend the softened cream cheese into this mixture, stirring until smooth.
Now gradually add the rest of the ingredients, one at a time, and stir until smooth.
If you use a mixer, use low speed. Add the nuts and fold them into the mixture. Spread the batter into a lightly buttered baking dish (8 x 8-inch). Smooth into pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes. Frost, if desired, using a light chocolate frosting. Ice cream on the unfrosted brownies is wonderful. Serve in squares.
