Annie Wingate'S Chocolate Macaroon Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, separated
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    1 (7 oz.) pkg. grated coconut
    1 Tbsp. plus 2 c. flour
    1/2 c. cocoa
    3/4 c. hot coffee
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat one egg white with 1 teaspoon vanilla until peaks form. Add 1/2 cup sugar.
    Gradually stir in coconut; stir in one tablespoon flour.
    Set aside.
    Dissolve cocoa in hot coffee.
    Set aside.
    Beat 3 egg whites until soft peaks form.
    Add 1/2 cup sugar and continue beating.
    Set aside.
    Add soda to sour cream. Set aside.
