Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. fresh cider
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 cinnamon sticks
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    lemon and/or orange peel strips
Preparation
    Heat cider with sugar and cinnamon sticks.
    Place cloves and peels in cheesecloth and secure tightly.
    Add to liquid cider mix. Boil and reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Remove spices and ladle into mugs.
