Minestrone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1/4 head green cabbage, shredded
    1/4 lb. dried lima beans or kidney beans, soaked overnight and cooked until tender
    1/4 lb. fresh peas
    3 c. water (more if needed)
    1 to 2 chicken bouillon cubes
    2 c. Newman's own spaghetti sauce
    1 c. pasta shells
Preparation
    Simmer vegetables in water
    and
    bouillon until tender, about 12 to 15 minutes.
    Add spaghetti sauce and simmer gently 5 minutes longer.
    Makes eight 1-cup servings.
