Caramel Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. margarine
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. cold water
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Melt margarine in a saucepan.
Add sugar.
Melt slowly.
Mix cornstarch in water.
Add this slowly to the melted margarine. Bring slowly to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla.
Very good served warm over gingerbread.
