Best Yet Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. light or dark syrup (Karo)
    1/2 c. butter
    pinch of cream of tartar
    5 qt. popped corn
    1 c. salted peanuts
Preparation
    Boil sugar, syrup, butter and cream of tartar for 5 minutes. Add soda quickly, stirring in.
    Pour over popcorn.
    Mix well and spread on lightly greased cookie sheet (I use 2 cookie sheets). Put in 200\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
    Take out and let cool.
