Carrot Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 eggs, separated
2 1/2 Tbsp. hot water
1 1/2 c. shredded carrots
2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Sift dry ingredients; add egg yolks and water.
Add to creamed mixture. Add carrots and nuts.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake in 2 (9-inch) pans for about 30 minutes.
Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
