Deep Dish Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 1 crust pie
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/8 tsp. salt
    8 c. sliced apples
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar, spices and salt.
    Add apples and lemon juice.
    Stir and combine.
    Place in a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Dot with butter.
    Roll pastry 1-inch longer than top of pan.
    Cut vents.
    Trim and flute edge just inside of pan.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 about 50 minutes until pie is brown and apples are tender.
