Whiskey Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    butter
    whiskey
    confectioners sugar
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Cream 1/2 cup butter.
    Add 1 cup confectioners sugar.
    Cream together and then blend in beaten egg.
    Pour into double boiler or use saucepan and heat slowly.
    Beat well with a wire whisk.
    When heated, but not boiling, remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons of good whiskey.
    Serve over steamed pudding, warm apple pudding or baked apple.
