Never Fail Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    3 egg whites
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Blend cornstarch and cold water in a saucepan.
    Add boiling water and cook, stirring until clear and thick.
    Let stand until cold.
    Beat egg whites until foamy.
    Gradually add sugar; beat until stiff, but not dry.
    Beat at low speed.
    Add salt and vanilla.
    Beat in cold cornstarch mixture.
    Beat on high until well beaten.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes after putting on pie.
