Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. boiling water
    3/4 c. rice (not Minute)
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. milk, scalded
    3 beaten eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Simmer boiling water, rice, butter and salt for 15 minutes. Add scalded milk to rice mixture and simmer 15 more minutes.
    Add beaten eggs, sugar and vanilla.
    Cook for 3 to 4 more minutes. Pour into serving bowl.
    Cinnamon may be sprinkled on top.
