Molasses Cake With Lemon Sauce(Heritage) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients; add molasses, shortening and eggs.
Mix well in mixer.
Add 1/2 cup boiling water.
Beat for one minute. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan or 2 loaf pans at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Serve with Lemon Sauce.
