Custardy Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 scant c. white cornmeal
    1/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg, beat well
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients; add 1 cup milk, egg and butter.
    Pour into a baking pan and put 1/2 cup milk on top.
    Do not stir.
    This will be soft like spoon bread.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for about 30 minutes. Serve warm.
