Clothes Line Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 lb. dates
1 c. black walnuts
1 lump butter the size of walnut
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Boil sugar and milk until it forms a soft ball in water.
Add dates and boil 3 minutes.
Take off stove and add remaining ingredients.
Beat until almost hard.
Pour into a wet cloth. Hang on clothes line to get cold and hard.
Cut into slices.
