Apple Butter - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lb. well-flavored apples, stemmed and quartered
2 c. water
3 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 c. sugar for each c. of pulp
Preparation

Cook apples in water until soft.
Strain pulp.
Blend in blender until smooth.
To each cup of pulp, add 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture sheets from spoon (usually 45 minutes to 1 hour).
Pour into hot sterilized jars.
Store in cool dry place.
