Garden Patch Ambrosia - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 oranges
    2 c. fresh grated coconut (frozen can be used)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. sherry or 1/4 c. apricot brandy (optional)
    1 ripe pineapple (optional)
Preparation
    Peel oranges and cut into sections.
    Place in layers in a bowl with each layer covered with sugar and coconut.
    Chill for several hours.
    If desired, you may pour sherry or apricot brandy over mixture.
    Also, a layer of thinly sliced pineapple slices may be layered with orange slices.
