Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. softened butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    6 large eggs
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Grease and flour a 5 x 9-inch loaf pan.
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0. Cream the butter until smooth and fluffy.
    Add sugar
    gradually, beating until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time.
    Beat well after adding each egg.
    Use wooden spoon to stir in flour, salt and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Spoon batter into pan.
    Bake 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Test with toothpick; let cool for 10 minutes before removing.
