Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. cream
3/4 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 inches vanilla bean, mashed fine
2 c. cream
1 c. milk

Preparation

The mashed vanilla bean may be added to the sugar and stored in an airtight container so the sugar absorbs the flavor of the vanilla, this may be done well in advance.
