Ginger Pear Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. canned pears and juice
    1/2 c. candied ginger
    2 lemons
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. pectin
    1/2 c. molasses
Preparation
    Chop pears; add juice, finely chopped ginger, juice of lemon and grated rind, sugar and molasses.
    Cook slowly in a heavy saucepan for 10 minutes.
    Add pectin and boil rapidly 5 minutes. Pack in hot jars and seal at once.
