Smothered Pork Chops - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
4 pork chops (3/4-inch thick)
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 c. water or chicken broth
2 c. thinly sliced onion
2 c. fresh sliced mushrooms
Preparation

Heat oil over medium heat.
Sear pork chops 2 minutes on each side.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Pour water into skillet. Scatter onions over chops.
Cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes turning chops over once during cooking.
Add mushrooms and continue cooking covered for 20 minutes or until pork chops are tender.
