Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. bacon fat
    2 medium onions, sliced
    2 medium green peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 can tomatoes
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp. bottled hot sauce
    1/2 c. rice
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients together and cook over medium heat, stirring with a fork to break up the meat until lightly brown. Add other 9 ingredients, mixing well.
    Turn into a greased casserole dish. Cover and bake in the oven at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Stir once or twice during cooking.
    Makes about 6 servings.
