Briarpatch Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    2 c. chopped onions
    2 tsp. black pepper
    dash of red pepper
    1/2 lb. sausage (more or less)
    1 (No. 10) can Great Northern white beans
Preparation
    Melt butter and add crumbled sausage to brown.
    Add onions and cook until tender.
    Add 1 can Great Northern beans.
    Add 1/2 can water.
    Cook for about one hour.
