French Strawberry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (12 oz.) box vanilla wafers
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 eggs
    1 c. whipping cream or 1 (2 oz.) envelope whipped topping mix, prepared
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen, sweetened strawberries, thawed
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Crumble wafers into fine crumbs.
    Put half the crumbs in bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
