Layered Mexican Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. cream cheese, softened
    2 c. shredded mild Cheddar cheese, divided
    1/4 c. sliced green onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 c. salsa
    1/2 c. chopped tomato
Preparation
    Mix cream cheese,
    1 cup Cheddar cheese and 3 tablespoons of the onion and garlic.
    Spread into bottom of 9-inch pie plate. Mix salsa and tomato; spread over cream cheese mixture.
    Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup Cheddar cheese and remaining 1 tablespoon onions.
    Serve with tortilla chips.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
