Fresh Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar, divided (use more sugar if fruit is quite tart)
    4 c. fresh fruit
    1 c. flour
    3 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Melt butter in baking dish.
    Sprinkle 1/2 sugar over fruit and set aside.
    Combine remaining sugar, flour and baking powder.
    Add milk and mix well.
    Pour mixture into dish.
    Add fruit.
    Do not stir.
    Bake 55 to 60 minutes.
