Sausage Sunburst - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage links
    1 cup corn meal
    1 cup flour
    pinch of salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg, beaten
    1 cup milk
    3 Tbsp. shortening, melted
Preparation
    Brown sausage links in a skillet.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add eggs, milk and shortening.
    Stir to moisten. Grease a skillet and arrange sausage links as spokes on a wheel. Pour batter over sausage and bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Cut into wedges and serve with sausage gravy.
