Orange-Pecan Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg, beaten
1 c. orange juice
1 c. raisins, cut fine
1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
2 Tbsp. shortening, melted and cooled
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Combine egg, orange, raisins, rind, shortening and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar into orange mixture; mix well.
Stir in pecans.
Pour into a well-greased 5 x 9 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 325 to 350\u00b0 for 1 hour, or longer (check with a toothpick at 1 hour).
