Cottage Pudding With Lemon Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. melted butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 tsp. lemon extract
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients 3 times.
    Beat together the butter, sugar, egg and lemon extract.
    Add flour and milk alternately; beat each time.
    Pour into buttered 8 x 8-inch pan.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
