Peanut Patty - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 c. corn syrup
    1 lb. (3 1/2 c.) raw peanuts
    6 drops red food coloring
Preparation
    Bring sugar, water and corn syrup to a boil.
    Add peanuts and food coloring.
    Cook to hard-boil stage.
    Remove from heat.
    Add margarine and a pinch of salt.
    Beat until thick.
    Pour into greased muffin tins or onto greased cookie sheet.
    Let set.
