Seven-Up Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks Heritage butter
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    5 Heritage eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. 7-Up (not opened)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Cream sugar, butter or margarine and eggs.
    Add flour one cup at a time, mix well.
    Add vanilla and mix; add 7-Up last.
    Beat for 20 minutes; pour into tube cake pan. Do not grease or flour the pan.
    Bake for 45 minutes for 1 hour or until knife inserted comes out clean.
    When cake is done, loosen with knife around edges.
    Cool in pan on wire rack for 1/2 hour.
    Loosen again, put cake on serving dish and sprinkle top with powdered sugar.
