Ingredients

1 lb. red candied cherries, chopped
1 lb. green pineapple, chopped
1 lb. dates, chopped
1 lb. white raisins, chopped
1 lb. chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. each cinnamon and cloves
4 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 2 Tbsp. hot water
Preparation

Combine fruits, nuts and 1/2 cup flour to coat. Set aside. Cream butter. Add sugars and beat well. Add eggs and beat. Add soda and dry ingredients along with the milk. Stir in fruits and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 minutes or 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes. You can garnish the top of the cookie with fruit and nuts.
