Sweet Pickle Strips - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. vinegar
    6 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    4 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    3/4 tsp. mustard seed
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers. Cut in strips. Pour boiling water over them. Let stand 4 to 5 hours. Drain and pack solidly in jars. Boil solution 5 minutes. Pour boiling hot over pickles in jars. Cook in hot water bath for 5 minutes. Makes 4 to 5 quarts.
