Cooked Mayonnaise - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg yolks
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    Colmer's dry mustard to your taste
    red pepper to taste
    1 c. Wesson oil
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks together with sugar, salt, mustard, red pepper and Wesson oil.
    Set aside.
    Mix water and vinegar and beat until it comes to a boil.
    Beat water and vinegar into the first mixture.
    Put entire mixture in top of a double boiler and cook until it is thick.
    Pour into a covered jar and keep in refrigerator.
