Red Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter flavor Crisco
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    4 Tbsp. cocoa
    2 Tbsp. hot coffee
    1 tsp. red food coloring
    1 7/8 c. plain flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream Crisco.
    Add sugar, cream until fluffy.
    Blend in well beaten eggs.
    Mix cocoa, red coloring and coffee together to
    form a\tsmooth\tpaste.\tBlend into creamed mixture.
    Sift flour,
    soda and salt together 3 times.
    Add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture, starting and ending with flour. Add
    vanilla. Pour
    into\t2
    floured
    and greased 9-inch cake pans.
    Bake
    at 375\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Frost with chocolate or vanilla icing.
