Cottage Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
Preparation
    Stir shortening, just to soften.
    Add egg.
    Beat well.
    Stir in dry ingredients.
    Add milk.
    Blend well.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 20 to 25 minutes.
