Doughnuts(Club Member: Ashley Wilson) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 eggs
    1/4 c. milk
    3 to 4 inches oil in deep fryer
Preparation
    Measure 1 1/2 cups flour and remaining ingredients in a bowl. Blend on low speed, scraping bowl constantly.
    Beat 2 minutes on medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
    Add remaining flour. Roll dough out to 3/8 inch thick.
    Cut with floured doughnut cutter.
    With wide spatula, slide doughnuts into oil.
    Turn as they rise to the surface.
    Fry 2 or 3 minutes at 375\u00b0 until golden brown.
    Remove and drain.
    Do not prick surface!
    Let cool and serve.
