Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. quick oats
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 sticks oleo
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oats.
    Let stand about 30 minutes. Cream oleo and both sugars and salt.
    Add eggs and vanilla.
    Mix dry ingredients with others, then add oats to mixture and bake 30 to 35 minutes.
    Add topping.
