Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. plain corn meal
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
1/2 c. plain flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 egg

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together and drop by teaspoon in deep hot fat.
Fry until golden brown.
